Thanks guys for your level headed download and explaining the data. I for sure sell out to soon, but at least I have cash now to get back in on a pullback. I need some explanation on the difference between your weekly top 20 list and your Map 50 (I think monthly) list. The subscription to your weekly top 20 is much more expensive than the Map 50, which indicates that the top 20 list has much more value. Can you explain the value difference, thus, why is the Top 20 more valuable than the Map 50? Is it just the fact the the top 20 is an earlier indication of big money buying and by the time that the stock gets on the Map 50 it already grew substantially?
Hey Johan- The MAP 20 profiles the twenty top stocks in our research every week. So, it's the here and now report. The MAP 50 is a monthly report that is created based on the prior 6 months of Top 20 reports. So, this report showcases the frequent fliers in the Top 20. The MAP 20 has stocks in it that will only appear in the MAP 50 months down the road.
You both have a great sense of humour, I love the spirit of the shows! I get it that we basically should hodl (pardon the expression) outliers. But is the MAP Top 50 list also useful for recognizing when it would be time to sell? Let's assume, for example, that NVDA does not appear in the MAP Top 50 and Top 20 for 6 months. Should we consider selling the shares? Things change, even an outlier company may get a new management, be acquired, etc. Are Map Signals also helpful for detecting when an outlier has run out of juice for good?
Hey Beat - You can use the MAP 50 however you like. Some users will look over the list and do some TA on the names for entries and exits. That's the cool thing - everyone uses it a different way. If you want to sell shares, feel free to do that. We are looking for outliers that exist over many years. From what we've learned, it only takes a few of them in your portfolio to make most of the returns. We are helpful to suggest when our data appears to shift bearish. That is not a perfect science - but, when markets are ready to fall, we usually get an indication in our data.
Will tech rebound?
Of course, eventually. We are just extremely overbought. Stocks have to breathe sometimes.
